The expansion of Pro Series Indoor continues at a rapid speed after Zimbabwe and Ireland joined South Africa and Namibia as Psi countries. Today we are excited to share that Psi is expanding to now include Netherlands as well.

Netherlands are a country with a fantastic indoor hockey pedigree and since their World Cup win in 2015 have walked a fantastic celebration of indoor hockey with Psi here in South Africa. The World Cup stars have been massive ambassadors for the game and have been regular members of our International All Stars. They will now be part of the new Psi journey as they all take head coaches roles at the various Academies.

We look forward to having the following individuals involved (With more to be confirmed):

Robert Tigges (Amsterdam)

2011 Indoor Hockey World Cup top goal scorer and captained the Dutch side to the unbelievable 2015 Indoor Hockey World Cup title. A true ambassador for not only Psi but for indoor hockey globally.

Teun Rohof (Amsterdam)

Tenacious defender who won the 2015 Indoor Hockey World Cup and represents Amsterdam in the Hoofdklasse. Currently is the most capped Dutch Indoor player.

SJoerd de Wert (Utrecht)

The newly retired Hoofdklasse champion with Kampong, the defender won the 2015 Indoor Hockey World Cup. He is a defender that truly loves the art of defending and pops up with a goal every now and again too.

Nicki Leijs (Almere)

The most ridiculous quick hands that you will see in indoor hockey can create space out of the smallest of gaps and is lethal when given an opportunity at goal. Also, a 2015 Indoor Hockey champion.

Danielle Campbell (Rotterdam)

A driving force behind the growth of the Pretoria Pitbull’s, relocated to Holland to teach form 1 and coach hockey and her effervescent attitude will be a massive boost and asset.

Laurens Goedegebuure (The Hague)

The best indoor hockey goalkeeper in the world in 2015 and arguably the biggest reason why Netherlands were World Champions. The most insane ability to make hard saves look really easy.

There will be six academies based across the Netherlands. They will be Amsterdam, The Hague , Almere, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Each will have Head Coaches that will be the person overlooking the activities of the academy.

As Pro Series Indoor continues to grow, we could not think of a better place that in Netherlands with the country offering so much support to the Psi series globally already. We can’t wait.
